It takes a lot of guts to say “I can.” Humans are inherently lazy and we don’t like to hear, generally, about people who have found the inner strength to keep learning and stretching their self-concept. Better to say “it wasn’t meant to be” or “I can’t” because then there’s an excuse to not try. Trying entails failing, and if you’re brave and honest about what you really want, you have to then try again and differently, which is the opposite of laziness. Thank you for showing us all that we can but perhaps choose not to pursue our dreams, and that’s on us.
