Thanks, Jim. I think she is in a state of "work" rather than suffering, if you know what I mean. Also, I suspect she is barely a "she" anymore, barely at all who she once was....just a body, doing its final work... you know?
This is a difficult journey and I wish you all strength Sandhya. That is, you already have it, but I wish it for you anyway. Hard to know what to say. All I know for sure it that it's not easy.
There is a whole community of people who are losing or have lost family to all forms of dementia. Yet, each has a personal track. Having already lost my dad to Alzheimer’s, I'm in the process of losing my mom (dementia from strokes), her sister(Alzheimer’s), and my husband (Parkinson’s). I'm glad that you have had time to arrive at a place of peace regarding your mother. Talking helps: feel free to reach out if it would help you. I'm not overtly religious, yet “God be with you” comes to mind.
Laurie, thanks very much for this message. I am resolutely un-religious but I appreciate the thought and send peaceful thoughts back to you, as well, as you deal with these many struggles. Three loved ones at once is a genuine burden, and I hope you have the support you need. I am in a very strong place, but am happy to serve as a sounding board if you'd like to talk. Let me know and I'll send you a DM with a way to get in touch. In the meanwhile, thank you again for reaching out. It's always helpful knowing we're not alone in these things.
Thanks Sandhya! for your intimate sharing with such a personal tone. “Overly emotional”? Hope you can just let those emotions be there. And the invite - what an uplifting note for anyone who receives this today. Have a great week 🫶🏽
Thank you, Melinda--and yes, I'm definitely not one to hold back in the emotional realm. :-) The invitation is really something special and I'll cherish it whether or not I use it. I'm glad it resonates for you, as well! All best to you & yours.
Hope your mother gets some relief. Your voice was comforting; great audio.

Thanks, Victor, there are no particularly good words to say at such a time, but please know that I appreciate your thoughts very much!

Thank you; I have wonderful support and I'm not alone by any means. Just keep writing!
I am really happy for you having reached this balanced emotional state and had the ability to get yourself there. It ain't an easy journey.
Hey Linda, thank you. Yes, it hasn't been easy but it has been very worthwhile, and I'm grateful.
